A busy week at April Lodge, full of singing and the theatre 'dahlings'! Jess and Nat were involved in the Corfe Hills production of Sweet Charity at the Lighthouse in Poole. Nat was part of the stage (no one appreciates how hard we work) crew and Jess played the role of Ursula a highly strung Italian starlet who stomped and screamed a great deal.... (type casting I hear you say...). The show was wonderful full of life and energy, songs you all will remember such as Big Spender and the Rhythm of Life got everyone tapping their feet. We went to see it twice but missed the last night and seeing Jess burst into tears on stage because it is her last show at the school and she has loved being part of it all so much.

On Saturday Amelia took part in a cabaret evening with her musical theatre class, there were songs from Mamma Mia and Oliver and Polar Express. Best of all was the duet Amelia did with her friend Harriet, a song from High School Musical. They were both superb and made us all very very proud.
So a little quieter now before the Christmas rush....well I can hope!

Well it arrived the 18th Birthday Party of my little girl! Fun was had by all and I am completlely exhausted and don't want to make another birthday cake for at least a year!!!

Happy Birthday!

November the 9th Amelia's 11th Birthday! She was born on Remembrance Sunday and I vividly recall holding her in my arms in the delivery suite listening to the service from the Cenotaph on the radio....... I can't believe that was eleven years ago!

All hallows eve....

Some strange persons were seen about the house last Friday evening, risen from the dead..... ghosts and witches at the door..... tears of blood..... it's enough to scare a wabbit!

Here is Amelia (in grandma's hat!) and her friend Amber off to trick or treat...... big bags of sweeties came home so I think we have nice neighbours!

New addiiton to the family!

We have a new member of the family, his name is Oreo and he is a beautiful lop eared rabbit. He did start living in a very nice hutch in the garden but we all lay awake at night when he was out there worrying about the cold and foxes..... So he has now taken up residence in a VERY stylish cage in the dining room. Oreo is house trained and good, most of the time...... except when he climbed into the sofa and hid from Amelia.... oh yes and when he ate the flowers..... and the pot pourri! But we love him and one little snuffle from his cute nose and we forgive him EVERYTHING!
